Is it weird that the first thing I thought of when reading the post title was whales of snow instead of the sea dwelling mammal?

Was this previously Elk Mountain?

NOOOOOOO. Elk is still ELK!
It used to be Doe Mountain 1999 I belive was sold. They closed early and demoed everything and built a large hotel and Conference center.Opened next season , 500 vert but has a few steep pitches, good place to learn. They say opening in early December.
18 Mil goes a long way , Massive snowmaking ponds, when they turn on the guns it's pretty impressive.
