Although in the very north -ease.. (newbrunswick canada) our passholders frequent sundayriver and sugarloaf alot.. probrably more so this year.

Sucks they were near opening after a tough snowmaking cycle they had 20-30ft whales top to bottom. just happened to shut down the pumps this morning for the warm up so they they had no water source to fight the fire.

Little hill owned by 100 community investors.

looks like we will be warming up in trailers this winter.

Terrible loss for a small community. Please let us know of any fundraising efforts. Eastern Ski Nation knows no borders! My thoughts are with the people affected by this.

some after math pictures. 3.5 million damage.. bigger damage will be to the seasonal employees as no doubt the staff will be reduced for this winter. back to wineskins and parking barbecues again..back to the roots. Going to be a good time i think.

pic - hkds are good for hi-effecienty firefighting as well i guess
pic - lodge aftermath
pic - whales ready to poach.

That sucks. They should reach out to Mt. Abram in Maine to see how they adapted to their lodge burning down a few years ago.
