I moved to Colorado and have been looking for an informative forum like AZ for skiing info that is Colorado Centric.,
Is there anybody on this site that relocated out west or travels to CO a lot that knows of a skiing forum for CO?

There's a few of us from CO here, maybe 4-6 regular posters.

I'll echo what the posters above said, epicski covers all of the U.S. and even has regular posters from other countries, as far as colorado centric though, I don't believe one exists.

Now that I think about it, 14ers.com is an alright resource. It's heavily geared towards hiking, but people do post a lot about skiing 14 and 13ers as well.

People in CO probably spend more time actually skiing than talking about skiing. Lucky bastards.

There might be something to that. AZ had a sister site for Colorado skiing about 8 years ago, but it never took off.

Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis?

COskiing.com was started as a sister site to AZ. The forums never had much activity, so it was dropped. The address now doesn't contain any forums, or much of anything. So, there might be some truth to the statement the people in CO are too busy skiing to talk about skiing...

Anyone who's been around AZ for a while will recognize the format is exactly the same as AZ looked back in the day:

Huh. Never knew that. Yea it definitely has the same format as old AZ.

I'm assuming Nick acquired that when he bought this site as well?

I would think that the population - or lack thereof - is probably the biggest culprit. AZ is for "Northeast" skiing, and there are a $#itload of people who live in the northeast.

No, it wasn't part of AZ at that point.

Dammit bvibert, your avatar keeps throwing me off. I thought this entire time you were domeskier, until I logged onto my computer and saw differently. Your avatars are too similar, you two need to get together and settle this via a ski off or something :)

I had the same mix-up. I thought Domeskier suddenly made sense, like maybe he stopped taking drugs or something. The only time I've seen Domeskier make any cohesive sense on this forum was when he was giving BenedictGommez a beat-down about the diff tween gov subsidies and tax breaks, or some such sh!t, so I know he's got it in him, but...

Similar, but mine's better. Besides, I'm told that my avatar looks just like me, so I'm keeping it!!

I'm available for a ski off on Satan's Stairway as soon as it opens. But, does highwaystar have to officiate ski-offs? If so we might have to move it to an easier slope that he can handle.
