Good for you, glad you're effort to travel to get the goods is being rewarded. Looks like the mountains here may get a little something early next week. Anything is better than 70° weather. Let's hope the new year brings more seasonable weather to the East, enjoy. Post some pics so we can live vicariously till then.

snowbird on 12/25 had too much fresh snow to waste time taking pics. here are a bunch from brighton today. i'm in the black jacket. buddy in the blue.

this zone was SICK. pillows, cliffs, pow. so sick. spent like 4 or 5 runs picking thru

snowbird has been holding a lot of stuff back. they aren't reporting anywhere near 100% terrain yet and haven't any day. alta seems to have more open. and brighton seems to have everything open. i'm really hoping snowbird drops ropes like crazy on friday when i arrive, and not on thursday or saturday when i won't be there.

Yeah we needed a lot of snow to open things at the 'bird. Earliest they open Mineral in an average year is Christmas week. I'm hearing avi danger is high.

the pic of the zone with the cliffs and chutes and pillows is just lookers left of milly. all terrain open except for the hike to stuff above milly and crest.

Tahoe has earned it I would say. Heading out there end of Feb, but may go earlier considering the snowfall.
