Good question on day to target. Until todays 12z euro the Magic weather chat was focused on Tuesday. But if the euro verifies - slow to start and lasting longer - Wednesday would be the day. That said even the euro *as of now* has 6” by opening bell Tuesday so it could come down to what Geoff and ops wants to do (both?!).

But we are a bit ahead of ourselves, it’s only Thursday. Tomorrow hopefully we will have a better idea if the models start to converge.

Tuesday looks like the storm day as of now, so I'd think Wednesday opening if the storm comes through. Ski the whole storm total and keep rolling into the weekend. I'm probably in if it's Wednesday, still have an Indy day left.

Awesome day today. Yeah there were some lines - but stopped after 11 runs though I could have fit in 12.

Props to cafeteria staff.for replacing free our spilled chowder and chicken tenders

Pow day is in the ski report. "NWS has issued a storm watch with 12-18″ expected in our area early next week. Tickets are now on sale for a Wednesday Powder with the full storm totals in by then with less hazardous driving conditions as the storm will be at its peak during the day on Tuesday with snow into Tuesday night." Parking was full up today. That will be interesting when Black gets going. Geoff did not think it a problem when we chatted on Friday.

"Black Line Quad is still awaiting final construction in late Spring 2023, with new haul cable installation and final comm line work to be completed on towers. About 4-6 weeks worth of work by Pfister Mountain Services. In the meantime, day-ticket capacity limits are set to limit lines on a busy weekend to 20 minutes max, which is far less than major resort waiting times. We look forward to finally adding this new-to-us lift for the 23/24 season."

4-6 weeks of work means that we'll be lucky if this is open by December.

Parking was savage yesterday. I showed up at 7:45 and was the second to last car let into lot A. I groaned. Then I realized there was a race happening. I groaned.

But the racers largely stuck to green (did their tix only allow green?), and red line was never as bad as I feared it would be. I also def played the singles shuffle a bit and found my way up the line by joining singles.

I skied 17k from 8:30-1:30 which is quite a lot for red chair. Good day. Naturals got soft by about 11

26" down as of me writing this (Snow stake went to 17" before being cleared, now back up to 9"). Snow set to continue into the early morning, with the snow report saying they expect 2-3" per hour at the time being. Mind you this is on top of good coverage and all 50 trails open.
Powder Day Wednesday and Thursday/Friday crowds should do most of the work in converting chunk-to-bumps, but I'm expecting Saturday to be another busy one.
