Blames downturn in consumer spending, problems with Ibex (?), ongoing issues with their website(s), and changes in the industry. Looks like he is open to a buyer or "some other creative way" to keep it going.

I know that a lot of folks in Central and Northern Vermont shopped there. It was a great store with good prices, good service, good promos, good staff, and good brands. Sad to hear the news, but not entirely surprised considering that the industry is tough and being a business in Vermont is tougher.

That's too bad. Not as many shops around New England as their used to be.

Seems most shops are now close to or right at the mountains. A lot of the shops that are way off the hill just aren't around any more.
