I have about 35 days at alta and one at powderhorn. Many of those days are 3-4 hour sessions though. Overall Im having a fantastic winter!
I skied 7 days in December all at my 2 local areas. Mountain Creek and Mt. Peter.
And 1 day so far in January plus 2 in November so a total of 10. I plan on going to Mountain Creek tomorrow morning too.

I have tried to ski a whole day over the past few years. It's not happening. I'm retired and ski M-F every week. Back when I was a working stiff, I skied all day Saturday, no problem. I realize the difference.
On Saturday, there were lines at the lifts. That meant I wasn't lapping Right Stuff 6 times in one hour off the Barker chair (Sunday River). I was maybe doing 3 runs, and one of them might be, might be, Right Stuff. I'd be skiing the blues and greens around the mountain. It would take me all day to get in a dozen and a half runs, and looking forward to next Saturday for more of the same. I'd be riding fixed grip chairs at some of the smaller mountains as well as at the river.
I can get my 18 runs in before noon, and they's be longer and more challenging than the blues and greens I used to do. It just seems that I have a certain number of runs in this body on a daily basis and whether it takes 3 hours or 7 hours, that's it!
Yesterday, for example, I left it all out on the hill after 3 hours. The conditions were just right to properly challenge me at the level I am at. Some 8 inches, plus or minus, of fresh snow, so I head to 3D for a couple runs, Quantum leap with the whales all over it for another run, then to Top Gun , all natural ungroomed for three runs. After that, my buddy asks me what I want to do now. I simply said, "something else" meaning a nice easy groomer! My legs were like jelly, and two more runs later I called it a day!
Thus far, I have enjoyed some great November and December skiing, some good October skiing and looks like it's gonna be an awesome January! 40 Days so far, 39 at the River and one at Bretton Woods!
Ski on!
lovin life,
Bob
