I can tell you from firsthand living experience that Wellesley, MA is not a ski town by ANY means.

........It does account for many of those luxury cars with MA plates at ski areas across New England though...

Lol Dartmouth College in Dartmouth Mass.
My mom - a proud 1974 SMU aka UMass Dartmouth grad - will get a good laugh out of that.

Also, no love for Colby or UMaine Farmington near the mighty Loaf?

My daughter goes to Castleton in VT.
Gets almost 100 days on hill and works part time at board shop on Killington access road.
Also surprised Plymouth didn't make list.

Also the $149 killington season pass helps.

Not sure if this was a factor, but us alpine skiers with blinders on should remember that cross country skiing is just that, skiing....

What the actual F? They put UNR on the list but not Sierra Nevada College?? SNC is not only significantly closer, but is actually NAMED after the mountains here, and has shuttles and daily transit to Squaw, kirkwood, Sierra Tahoe, and mammoth. UNR just had drunk kids from SoCal wandering the casino district!

I did transfer to UVM for my softmore year due in large part to skiing. They kicked around transferring me out because of all the skiing I was doing. Lol.

Stern warning and I was much more attentive to my studies Junior and first half of Senior year.

That's pretty much what I thought would happen if I ended up there!

One more source to put into the “not to trust” list.

Some day, I maybe able to publish my very own “Top 100 Source of Fake Rankings”! :)
