WJenness messaged me that he and a friend were heading up to ski Burke on Saturday in order to get away from the crowds in NH. I let him know that he provided a great excuse for me to get out on the slopes for the first time this year . Snow throughout the previous week had set up nicely on the mountain. Even though the morning was cold, there was no wind so it was actually quite pleasant and the deep blue clear sky was a great contrast to the frozen mountain. After noon the main groomers were getting pretty scrapped off but the woods were holding up pretty well. Things should be great this weekend if the forecast holds.

Yup Great pics! I'm headed up there this weekend, looking forward to it so, although it's going to be chilly

I didn't know you could climb at lookout tower in the winter , I've been up it a number of times the summer. Great View

Yes the fire tower is easy access from the top of the lift. Beautiful 360 degree views from up there on a clear day. Footing on the steps can be slippery so make sure you keep a good hold on the railings.

Beautiful photos, as always. Burke is a great place to be when they get it good. My first time there was the day after an 18" April 1st storm, no foolin.

I didn't go today, -4/-17 with strong winds. I heard that they closed the mountain due to dangerous wind chills. However they got a lot of powder!
