Down would be less if the wind is going up or straight down the mtn. The issue is if it blows from the sides it starts swinging and catches the seat and makes it swing more. Swing front to back is really no issue.

I guess it's good for Vail they own so many ski areas now, more places to spread the cost of the lawsuit around to.

That's a pretty gruesome and horrible story.

I don't know what the weather was like but this is how the seat could have been lifted. Might not have been missed, I was under the impression they lifted them for the purpose of limiting snow accumulation .
