    Dumbass. Last time I hiked up there in July some dummies were doing the same thing. Cringed as I went by hoping the arch had another day in it. Didn't look good for another day to me. But it held up.....

    I mean the guy's got to have a little common sense. You gotta realize in the summer, that snow is temporary at best. Those kind of snow formations are sketchy even in the winter. It sounds like he's going to be ok. He could have just gotten close to view it. Getting under or in that snow formation, in summertime, is asking for trouble.
