Did two separate hikes of the Katahdin this past weekend.

Friday 8.15 went up Abol down AT (towards Springer Mountain)

Saturday 8.16 went up Helon Taylor/Knife Edge down Saddle.

Here's the view from the summit on Saturday at about noon.

Here's the view from Chimney Pond Saturday at about 4 pm.

All trails were in great shape, and we had to jump through the usual hoop to get over to Roaring Brook on Saturday. Since we were arriving late on Friday (about 7:45AM) we knew that was out of the question and did Abol instead--an exciting hike.

Thanks for looking! Hope to put a skiing and snowboarding forum TR up sometime later this winter!

Beautiful! I love Baxter. :)

I gave your post the "camera" icon since it has embedded photos, just something we like to do for those on slow connections.
