I started a thread like this last year. Along with the poll above, let's use this thread to discuss our individual ski seasons. How many times did you get out? Was this above or below average? How would you classify your ski season overall? For me I got out 25 times so far as follows:

Berkshire East (2 days) - 1/24/05, 2/20/04
Catamount (2 days) - 1/30/05, 3/25/05
Jiminy Peak (4 days) - 12/11/04, 12/29/04, 1/7/05, 1/9/05
Hunter Mountain (1 day) - 12/30/04
Loon Mountain (4 days) - 3/14/05, 3/15/05, 3/16/05, 3/17/05
Mad River Glen (1 day) - 2/10/05
Magic Mountain (1 day) - 3/4/05
Ski Butternut (2 days) - 12/28/04, 4/1/05
Ski Sundown (2 days) - 12/17/04, 1/23/05
Sugarbush (3 days) - 2/11-2/12/05, 2/25/05
Sugarloaf/USA (3 days) - 4/8-4/10/05

This was my busiest season so far and certainly my best. My goal was twenty days and I beat that so I'm satisfied. Some highlights include:
  • Revisits after a number of ski season to Catamount, Hunter (with AZer JimG. and buddy Karl) and Sundown
  • A day at the Beast after a 18-24" dump the day before
  • Skied three new areas in Magic, MRG and Sugarbush
  • A powder day at MRG
  • First visits to Sugarbush and Castlerock
  • The AZ South gathering at the Beast
  • Four great days at Loon
  • Three bluebird days at Sugarloaf and a chance to ski with AZers Bob R, ALLSKIING and Terry
A great season for me indeed. It's unfortunately now over for me and time to start getting some stuff done around the house.
Here's to next season!

Dissappointing

I didn't get out nearly as much as I'd have liked. Basically, my son is now 2 years old and I want to spend more time with him and he wants to spend more time with me so I didn't make it to the mountain as much to patrol.

I did, however, get him on skis for the first time. He loved it and we'll have him back on skis next year.

Anyway, the only good thing right now is I'm headed to Tahoe next week for some last season skiing and they've been getting pounded lately. Should be decent conditions.

Well, here is a summary of what I've done so far:

34 days out, was aiming for 30, but 35-37 will be great! :)

Poor weather has claimed 5-6 days :( which is disappointing, but oh well...

Other highlights:

* 4 days skiing with AZers. (Very fun).

* 1 day skiing with RSNers (fun as well).

* First ski vacation--five days at Sunday River (two powder days... :) ).

* A Number of powder days...I think 5 or so.

* Some incredible spring skiing at Burke, Cannon, Loon, Pats, and Sunday River!!!

* Five new mountains (Loon, Nashoba, BEast, Ski Ward, Wachusett).

* Lots of great variety.

Okemo- 2 days
Mt. Snow- 1 day
Loon- 1 day
Cannon- 1 day
Sunapee- 1 day

Wow, 27 for me. I was shooting for 30, but weather (especially early season) got in the way a bit. MAybe next year.

Highlights:

*2 Powder days at Wachusett: 12/20/04, and 1/24/05.
*Beautiful Day at Loon
*Powder Day at Cannon
*Absurdly foggy day at Sunapee
*Great skiing at Okemo
*Shorts and T-Shirt with 75 degrees at Wachusett closing, 4/10/05.

Hey, I'm in the majority in the poll too. Whoever got 61+, I hate you! :argue: And so does everyone else!

You've never seemed to be a fan of "Flatton" from any of your posts that I have read, and yet you skied there not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR times this season. You may have fooled us in the past on this board, but it is becoming obvious you are a member of the Stratton Mountain Club and most likely own a condo there.

Kind of a weird season for me. Winter never seemed to really kick in. . .I am still sort of waiting for it. This is despite the fact that we received 6" over the yealy snowfall average.

Opening day at Bobcat was stellar and my only significant powder day. There was a powder night at Jiminy, but it was totally tracked out so I enjoyed the soft snow and mico-bumps. The bright side is that every day was great. Great weather, great conditions. I skied with my old buddies on three trips which helped improve my skills. I want to get at least 15 days per season and have exceeded that goal with 17 {18} days.

Kmart- 1
Okemo- 2
BC Touring- 1
Jiminy Peak- 7 {8}
Bobcat- 2
Gore- 2
Sugarbush- 2

Although I flashed the cash for the membership in SMC, they found out I made my fortune selling crack and wouldn't let me join

Actually, I bribe the patrol with beer and crash at a friend's cabin over in Peru. They're trying to coax me over to the darkside, but so far, not luck.

Right now 40 days, but I'm figuring about 50 by the time I'm done. I hike for turns with the dog when the resorts close down. Between what's still open, post season hiking at resorts and Tuckerman, I'll probably get another 10 days...hopefully more :D

K-Mart 1
Mt Snow 2
Attitash 1
Sunday River 4
Chamonix 6
Mt Jefferson 3
Sugarloaf 19
Saddleback 1
Big Rock 1
Backcounty 2

Sadly, I never made it to Canada this year

I got a lot of use out of my pass. I paid 350 for the bronze and worked it down to 12 bucks a day.

A couple got a hundred plus days!! Who are they?
1)K2trav out of Sugarloaf had well over 100. I thought I saw 124 days recently something like that. He does not post much here. 2) Lostone out of Sugabush has over 100 also. I think Terry has about 70 those are the high totals I can remember. May be more I'm not the most reiliable source. :D

I skied less than I wanted to. I was plagued by illness and injury this year. I started off the season with pneumonia and ended the season with a torn rotator cuff (FUN!)
My totals
Stowe (2)
Wachusett (5)
Pine Ridge (16 I work there)
Bousquet (1)
Cranmore (2)
Mt. Snow (1)
Okemo (1)

I never did get to use the Magic Passes I won (personally), but I gave them away.

I'm presently at 125 with 4-6 days left at the Bush.

For those that hate me, there are a few here with more than 10 more than I have.

Times out

It was a very good year for me. I hope to do better next year. If I ever make it to retirement I'm going to get one of those Bronze passes, and live out of my car eatting Power bars and skiing until I collaps into a useless pile in a forgotten part of some resort.

Stowe 1

Stratton 4

Bromley 1

Magic 1

Jiminy Peak 51 (I'm an instructor here so this
includes taking training and
giving lessons )

I can’t believe that I forgot to list Graylock. (Maybe I should revise my posting on age) It was one of the better trips. It was early in the season there was fresh power and clear skies. So I guess that makes my total 59. fre
