That looks great, glad you got snow

I don’t mind posting it here at all, as you said no one traffics trip reports. My only suggestion would be to put it in the 2022/2023 season thread instead of a resort specific thread. That’s what I did for my daily updates while out west. Update my list, add pics and commentary from that day

Yea...I had not looked at that thread either. Just looked at the last couple pages. Some great pics there. For some reason I always just skip the stickied threads on the forum...

just back from a week in colorado. Skied copper and abasin. Copper was good but abasin is a real skiers mountain. Great vibe and excellent tree skiing. Also, the kids and I did a 30 minute boot pack up to the east wall and skied the first coulouer. good challenge. link to view from the top.

Hear me out… copper sucks and is among the most overrated western ski areas

You are correct that a-basin rules tho

I’ve skied a lot of a-basin but never bothered to climb the east wall from the shoulder or up the middle. Good on you. The beavers and steep gullies are awesome. And palli is up there with Alta wildcat as maybe my favorite lift/pod of terrain

I wouldnt say that copper sucks. We had fresh snow and the conditions were fantastic. We were with about 8 others who aren't real skiers and they needed and enjoyed the lovely groomed runs. Not my thang but they werent going to abasin. Its a disneyfied resort. lots of condos and bars. Is what it is.

Palli is great although we did it after the bootpack and I was a bit exhausted.
