This is what I would like... trip planned for mid august....

i am willing to get up and drive and return late.... so 4-5 hours of driving isnt a problem for me...
i am thinkin in the adirondacks? tho the overnight permit and requirement for a bear canister is pretty annoying ...

i would like a moderate - hard trail that has most or all of these things

i would like to hike for an entire day (6 or more hours) .... then set up my own camp (off the trail and not a designated area for camping) then i would like to get up in the morning and hike back to my car another all day hike (6 or more hours) (on the same trail or a loop)

i would also like some spectatular views/peaks, a feeling of seclusion from civilization, and water! preferably a waterfall to hang out by or even to swim in!

any and all recommendations and advice would be great! thanks!
