Date(s) Skied: April 3rd, 2010 (Doug Coombs Day)
Resort or Ski Area: Mount Washington
Conditions: Warm
Trip Report: Started skinning up the cog just after 6AM, got to the Great Gulf at around 8AM. I skied one run in the area, Austin did three runs. Went to the summit. Skied Upper Ammo to lower Monroe Brook. Great day overall. First real day of touring for me, and I love it... although I don't love the blisters I have on my ankles right now haha...
So now for the pictures you all want to see, comments wanted/appreciated, thanks:
Getting an early start:
Coverage is diminishing fast... Bretton Wood's still looks like it has nice cover:
Morning View:
Jacob's Ladder:
Austin ahead:
Bert's:
Looking back down:
Morning ice near the top:
Sun starting to come out:
Beautiful View, a lot of people were skiing that north facing area in the Great Gulf, my legs were far to tired after one to try bootpacking again:
Looking down a line into the Great Gulf:
Bluebird skies:
Me skiing some soft snow, especially for right after 8AM:
Me skiing Hallway:
Austin on the steeps:
Austin ripping up a ridge:
