Your detailed comments regarding your Garmish trip are most interesting. We just got back from Lech, Austria. Our experience is in many ways similar. The people, food, gluhwein, bier, and service were fantastic. Four Russians bought us our first gluhwein -- we were then hooked. Had dinner with a German family who's English was almost as bad as our German, but somehow we had a great evening. And the Alps -- well, pictures and post cards just don't suffice. Hopefully we'll post a more comprehensive review of our trip after we get caught up with the real world. Just a terrific experience.
