P-tex Welder

I am going to buy a welder. Tired of taking them to the shop.

Anybody have a recommendation for one. Slidewright has two. One is much cheaper then the other. The cheaper one is a lower temp and probably not able to do bigger gouges.

Could you use a hot glue gun instead? I've always wondered that. The ptex sticks are about the same size....

I think the p-tex requires a higher temp to melt.

P-tex is a higher temp to melt. Check out the Slidewright site.

That one for $50 doesn't seem too too bad. It would be worth it if you had a few skis that needed to be repaired.
