Gfs ftw:

.long term /wednesday through monday/...
Main weather feature of note will be weak low pressure tracking
south of our area wednesday night. It will move out of the great
lakes and upper ohio valley and through the mid atlantic before
heading out to sea south of cape cod. This would normally be far
enough south to avoid any precipitation up here in northern new
england. However... Gfs model continues to track slightly further
north with a much broader circulation and wider extent of
precipitation. All other models are in good agreement that
precipitation will stay out of our area for the most part...with
surface high pressure axis remaining over the area keeping the
moist easterly flow to the south. Feel that this makes much more
sense given the model consensus and favored the
nam/canadian/european models in this forecast rather than the gfs.
Have included low chance pops for some light snow wednesday night
and thursday. Gfs continues to show a lingering trough after the
low departs...keeping an area of snow across our area through
friday but continue to feel this is unlikely. High pressure will
be in control after the low passes to the east on
thursday...bringing cool temperatures and generally dry conditions
through the end of the week. Jet stream stays south of our
area...so disturbances moving through the flow should also remain
south of the area and keep northern new england mostly dry.

Just got a new pic:

Looks awesome. Hope we get a little refreshers later in the week. Even just a few inches would sweeten all that back up even more!

I'm booking our condo tomorrow (at least 3 of us) to head up there. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We might have a spot available if someone is looking for one.

Anybody want to meet up Friday at the Loaf to ski? I know many of you folks have a ways to travel for the weekend festivities. I'll probably be rolling in around 9am and plan of skiing most of the day.

Hitting up Saddleback on Friday if you decide to change your venue.

tempted by Saddleback for Friday. Will be at Black Mountain instead. Got a voucher there

Black is cool and the ticket is free but.........The ticket @ Saddleback is only $35 beans and the snow is much deeper, the trees much more expansive, and there will be many cool AZ peeps out on the hill ripping it up!
