Killington

weather conditions changed all day

What a great day!! Was on the mountain by 9:30 at the latest, our first run down was the glades off of racer's edge and the snow was unbelievable. This continued all morning until about noon. We got two more runs in on Anarchy (in the glades) that were practically untouched. Ovation was great in the morning with some snow in between the bumps but as we hit it later in the day it was skiied off and very icy. After all this we ended up heading over to Bear Mountain because we had heard about the mogul challenge and some live music. We took the long way over to Bear (will show later in MyTracks) and were immediately slowed down. The sun shining on Bear mountain was a nice welcome but made the snow real sticky. We took one run down and then headed back over to K1. As soon as we got off the gondola on K1 we were immediately blasted by rain/sleet in our faces. We managed to get down the mountain while scraping our goggles while there was very little visibility. In between our next couple runs the sun came out again as we headed down Royal Flush. There was a thin covering but still really nice. We took this down to the Canyon quad and no later than 30 seconds of being on the lift we were getting the heaviest snow of the day. *it looked like dip n dots i said* After another run or two we were worked but we made it down one last time on Double Dipper which had a great new layer of snow on it. It was snowing as we pulled out of Killington and I have no doubts that tomorrow (weather said 40's and sunny!) will be a great day of skiing as well! 8)

Sweet! Thanks for the report and photos. Not able to get back up until the 15th. Hoping the snow holds and we get some great spring bumps.

No problem, they got a good covering today and I heard maybe a little bit more on Monday! Have fun!
