I can't even imagine what's going through those people's heads when they're A) dreaming this stuff up, and B) when they're actually going through with it!
The biggest jump of all is the gap between #1 and the rest of this list. 2-10 are bigger than average stunts. But #1...WTF?!? That's barely within the range of comprehension. I've seen pics of this many times but it never sunk in quite the same. How was it actually accomplished? Was there some intermediate slow-down stage?
