The 135th Lancaster NH Fair is September 1-5.

It is a real country fair with 4-H exhibits and competitions, horse shows, horse, tractor & big truck pulling contests, musical acts such as Charlie Daniels, cow chip bingo, milking competitions, and many more things....

Check out www.lancasterfair.com or call 603 788-4531 for more information.

If you in the north country labor day weekend check it out.

I'll be there either the Sat of Sunday of the weekdend. Lawn mower races and pig racing have been recent favorites of mine as well as the horse pulls.

I'm actually heading to the Dutchess County Fair in NY tomorrow. Going for the weekend. My father-in-law has a bread stand there. Never been before, but my wife likens it to Topsfield, only bigger. Sounds like Lancaster is similar, as well.

My neck of the woods...I live in Beekman which is about 20 minutes east of Poughkeepsie. I'm guessing you'll be at the Dutchess county fairgrounds?

Lancaster is fairly small.

Alot of towns in Dutchess are small; I live in Beekman and if you blink your eyes you'll go right thru the town and never even see it.

Gotta love the Caledonia County Fair! Starship is playing tomorrow night, dude! "We built this city on rock and roll..."

No, seriously, that is the fair I grew up on...great place. Lots of animals, etc. Planning on taking Ms. Trailboss and some new friends of mine from VLS to the Tunbridge Fair. That's another classic. The Lancaster Fair is cool though...never been :(

when the cal county fair signs were originally printed, someone goofed and the signs read "jefferson starship" instead of just "starship." they went around and blanked out the jefferson and then had new signs made.
