For those that are heading to Vermont anytime soon, be sure to stop by a rest area and get a copy of the annual "Ski Vermont" Magazine that is put together by the Vermont Ski Areas Association. They have some nice pictures of the areas, some interesting information (though don't plan on it being too substantive), and the annual "resort guide" in the back that lists the stats for each mountain.
I was very happy to see that they've listed Cochran's and Northeast Slopes. They also gave Magic lots of love, which was nice. They featured some nice pictures of folks at Magic having a good time.
What was interesting was that they did an article listing the "Top 10 Iconic Vermont Lifts". These are, in no particular order:
1. Magic's Red Chair;
2. Mount Snow's Bluebird;
3. Smuggs' Madonna;
4. Killington's K-1;
5. Stratton's American Express (first six pack in Vermont);
6. Jay's Tram;
7. Burke's Poma;
8. Stowe's Forerunner;
9. Sugarbush's Slidebrook Express;
10.Mad River's Single Chair.
