My son an I enjoyed two days of kayaking on the Androscoggin River in New Hampshire earlier this week.

The Androscoggin is one of the few rivers in New Hampshire that has stable water levels all through the year because of the Bowater Paper Companys power and water needs downstream in Berlin.

The weather was nice with low humidity and the river was fun and somewhat challenging in spots especially the rapids below the Errol bridge and below Pontook dam.

We also paddled the Magalloway River in Maine, but I did not have the camera with me.

That bottom picture looks like Errol bridge. A lot of people park and play there. One can run it over and over again by carrying back up through Northern Waters.

The bottom picture is of Errol Rapid. We ran it only once, and we drove up route 16 a ways to put in at the small pond near the dam.

It was fun, but really only a bunch of 2' standing waves with no rocks or eddies to play in. Pontook rapids (the first picture) was more fun.
