Thinking of possibly heading there for a quick night session on Wednesday. Bumps? If so, are they on lighted terrain?

Everything at Crotched is lit IIRC, so shouldn't worry about that...

My friend's brother (whom I've never skied with) was at Crotched on Saturday and was not happy with conditions...

I don't have any idea what that means, so don't use it as a data point...

In fact, I don't know why I decided to post in this thread, as I've not been at all useful for you..

Sorry.

I was there on Saturday with a pack of five young ladies. Conditions were good for us, but then again we're all beginner/lower intermediate, so as long as it's white and we can still go downhill, it's good for us. :daffy: The bumps on the upper half of Pluto still look good, and I think they are OK in UFO, but we don't ski any of those. Everything is lit-up however. With all the machine stuff they made and the 8-9 inches after the rains, the base still seems pretty good, but again I am new to this, so it might be relative. People were still coming down off the hike-up summit and as things softened up they were saying it was still pretty good. But you obviously won't be getting any light there. Saturday was one of the busier days I've seen, so maybe that contributed to the bad day...I don't know. It was the first time I have ever actually seen anyone checking for lift tickets.

I was there Sunday and thought the conditions were fine. It was a bit slushy at the bottom of the hill late in the day but overall I was pleased. Bumps on Pluto softened up nicely late in the day too.

Thing to keep in mind is that the bumps on Pluto's Plunge are maybe two or three wide and are just under the lift...so if you are a bump skier then you might not be as happy there. Just saying...
