Okay I'll do it this time, but it will short but sweet.

Met up with Skibum9995, Roark and tree-skier in the lodge around 5:15. Headed out around 5:45 after I finished "my kid's meal" of chicken fingers and fries. Well that is what Tree-Skier called it. Petre showed up just as the race began.

Took a free run on Cyclone, mainly because we were too lazy to skate over to the FIS Race Trail. Then took a couple of looks at the course. It was a nice turny course. Looked difficult at first, but skied liked a gem.

Results based on handicaps (only 5 racers last night):
Tree_skier: 2th
Skibum:5th
Ga2ski: 10th
Roark: 30th
Peter: 36th
Resulting in third place for the night and bringing us back to to third for the season.

Results

Misc. info you need to know:
Skibum keeps getting better each week and finaly won that gold.

Tree_skier and Skibum have been knicknamed the Spandex Twins by Nora from Pat's.

Tree_skier needed a "pull" from Roark to help him out of his suit this week. I'm hoping not the witness the "yank" next week.

Skibum is the one with knee pads (part of his spandex) I'll leave it at that.

We still do not know who Vladimir is, but he is good. T_S will be calling immigration services this week.

Skibum has show tremendous improvement and should be very happy with last night. I had a couple of good runs and was close to Zach (pacesetter) but need to find almost 2 seconds to catch Vladimir.

Ga2ski failed to mention his turtle impression while sliding down FIS.

With skibum's emergence we could be the dominate team on monday's if BobR hadn't been such a wuss and quit on us.

That wasn't a turtle . .. that was a stalled polish donut.

That was my second of three scary incidents of the night while "free skiing". Firts run in Cyclone as snow snake got me and I almost ate some bark. And then later, I almost ate some more bark when another racer decided to stop short on the glacier on FIS above the course. All three were totally my fault.

I haven't found vladimir's earlier race history but over the past 8 years he has been racing masters and spending the summers at mt hood attending race camps.

Who knows. Maybe next year. I enjoy reading the reports. We need posted pictures of the suits. Get ga2ski's middle school race outfit in there and it would be one for the condo wall without a doubt.

That is a disturbing thought. I did joke that I wanted to make it a threesome. Bob- Hopefully we can fulfill your fantasy soon.

After Nora yelled "Spandex Twins you are up next". I said "I have had made many dreams about twins and you two were not in them".

It was a good week. I really liked the course set. Looked like it would have a few tight turns but it really wasn't bad. The slightly turnier set allowed me to catch up to the heavier guys who carry more speed and glide better.

I finally got a gold and go figure, it didn't get posted to the NASTAR site. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Bob you are just jealous. It is good to hear you might be coming to your senses. Ga2ski said you were a little down and we know you miss all the fun on monday night.

Anyone do Tuesday eve's.....I'm going to be "allowed" to go on Feb 12....since UK has a seminar to go to and we've got a Pat's ticket to burn. That's it I'm going even if it kills me.....kidding....I'm tried of waiting for this shoulder thing to go away. My PT said if it doesn't hurt then I can do it, so I'm gonna start this weekend, probably at Black Mtn.

No, but if there's anyone that wants to hook up that Tues night, I'd love to join in with anyone.

you're definitely missed Bob, regardless of all the busting.

skibum has really picked it up, great to see... maybe I can learn something!
Props to Pete for making it there to tack on a few pts, we were getting worried we'd have to eat a zero for the 5th team member.

I feel bad just taking off early the last couple weeks, hopefully we can ski a bit more and have a couple brews next week.
