 My 2002 Mazda 626 with 23,000 miles on it is having a problem with it's tires. A few weeks ago I had a flat on the way to work, less than 0.2 miles from my house. My front passenger tire, which was fine when I left my house went off the bead on my way up the hill for no apparent reason.

About an hour ago I decided to take a run up to the center to get a couple things. When I passed the local garage 0.15 miles from my house I stopped to let the mechanic cross. I opened my window and said, "Hi" to him. He turned and said "hi" to me. As I crossed the common my tire seemed fine, didn't seem to be a problem. I went into Honey Farms Mini Market. I had left my car running when I went in, so when the police officer came in and asked who's Mazda it was I figured he was going to yell at me for leaving it running. He told me that I had a flat. He noticed that I was not well (head cold) and said he would put air in it for me. It wouldn't take air. This time it was my rear drivers side tire.

I think I am going to be going to get NEW tires tomorrow. I'm going to contact MAZDA though, I have a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on the car and there are only 23,000 miles on the car. The tires still have quite a bit of tread on them, they were supposed to be 40,000 mile tires when I got the car.

Mazda is going to tell you to look in the owner's manual for your tire warranty. Most likely your M dealership will help you out. If not go to an authorized dealer that sells your tire (ex. Firestone) and pursue it. Do you keep the tires rotated? That is one of the things they ask about when going for a tire warranty claim.

I've been there with a former German car!

Tires are rotated at the oil change, every other time. I have made sure of that! I'm going to call my dealer about it. This will put a curve in my plans, but without the tires fixed I'd have to cancel them all together. So I get a later start on the weekend.
