I think it was Bob who mentioned this topic earlier in another thread...but I was istening to WEEI and Jonathan Kraft was getting interviewd, and this subject came up.

Kraft was extremely excited about the store opening, but I missed "when" it was opening.

I checked the BPS web site...all they say is the deal was made last Nov. Didn't see an anticipated opening date there either.

It will be great to have a fabulous tackle shop this close....I'll feel bad for the local bait shops...so few of them left that offer decent selection of tackle.

Still...I'll be happeir when Cabela's opens. East Hartford of Hooksett...about equidistant for me.

Never been to a BPS. I'd love the chance to go and drop some coin there. It could be an annual trip like going to L.L. Bean or Funspot.

I've spent many hours browsing thier website drooling over all the neat stuff. It's pretty incredible the variety of products they carry especially when considering all the different color combinations with baits. Can you say Senko?

About two weeks ago. Sorry pal...somewhere in this forum there's a link to the Manchester Union Leader article, but I can't remember where. I think that store is opening fall 07. Strangely, the same timeframe as the Cabela's in East Hartofrd, CT.

The CT store is listed on the Cabela's website (master map of store locations...it's a red star indicating a projected store location...click on that star and you get the background/schedule). I imagine the Cabelas site will soon list the Hooksett location as well.

Caught 20 bass today at my local lake :) . Lost 6  Every one caught with a pumpkin/chartruse tail Senko texas rigged. All the bass caught were tight to shore. I didnt see any on thier beds but the beds are everywhere. Biggest today was about 3lbs. Most were around 2lbs. Great day!

I'm hoping to escape the to-do list for a bit of bass fishing myself this weekend.
Congrats on the catch! Lake Winnepasaukee is still so high, the lake patrol is enforcing a "no wake" policy up near the Ambrose Cove area (Moutonborough).

Tough enough to be paing $3+ per gallon on the lake...but to not let your boat "stretch" its legs this weekend has got to be tough.
