This is not too suprising, I did not think they would make April 16th, there are too many thin and bare spots already. Still the trails on April 1st had good cover and I am glad that I got to ski there again before they closed.

Nothing personal DMC (because i'm sure when you see this post you'll argue), but I'm suprised that Belleayre is closing before Hunter. Last year they struggled to stay open one weekend after Hunter and each year makes it more interesting. Bottom line, Belleayre opened some great terrain this year that made them the top mountain in the Catskills and see only a great future for Belleayre and the other mountains.

No offense taken.. No arguement needed... I dig what Tony's done with the place... It's a cool place - has a cool vibe... I've been there for the closing party before.. It's a blast...

I'm just not a big fan of ridge terrain - steep shots with huge runouts.... So my opinion is it isn't the best mountain in the Skillz..

BUT - it's been a tough year.. the mountain with the more powerful snowmaking system and the skillz to use it and the correct facing aspect to hold snow - wins..

Doesn't really matter though - cause Easter weekend is going to be empty...

Might head up there for the last day. Conditions look OK. Might be tough to get around with only 1 lift though.
If anybody goes there Sat, post conditions.

Just heard they closed the top. I'm done. Can't even get a decent priced flight to utah. Looks like my season has ended.
