BMC carefully calculated the position of the pivot points on the APS (Advanced Pivot System), so the Trailfox TF01 gets an efficient ride that doesn't affect suspension plushness. BMC equips the Trailfox TF01 with its initial load indicator for simple and straight forward sag setting -- ensuring maximum suspension performance.
The Trailfox's carbon frame reaps the benefits of a decade long refinement of the iSC (integrated Skeleton Concept). Using the latest computer-aided finite elements methods, BMC tailors each unidirectional carbon tube to distribute forces throughout the frame. They've also optimized strength and stiffness where it's needed most; the bottom bracket junction, the tapered head tube, and at the shock mount. What this means for you is a light and lively ride mixed with mountain-bike durability. The rear axle is a 142x12mm thru axle for spot-on tracking, and the frame features BMC's natural born post mount for the rear brake. This mount doesn't require an adapter, which keeps weight down and strength up.
Up front we've spec'd an adjustable travel 150mm Fox Talas FIT RL fork with the deflection fighting 15QR. The SRAM XO 3x10 drivetrain covers everything from cranks and, shifters to derailleurs, and brakes. Steering duties are handled by the lightweight, carbon Easton Haven bars, and the Trailfox rides on Easton's light-but-burly Haven wheelset. The wheels are shod in Onza Ibex and Canis 26 x 2.25 inch tires. Adding to the Trailfox's all mountain capabilities is a RockShox Reverb seat dropper. Perched on top of it is a Fizik Tundra2 saddle.
