An absolutely epic four days at Bolton Valley. It started snowing Wednesday at about 4pm and didn't let up until Saturday around 1pm.

Music for the trip: Probably NSFW

Night skiing was a solid way to start the trip. The mountain went from hard-packed and scrapy to soft and powdery in the space of a couple hours. Refills were the order of the night. No pictures because it was night skiing.

Thursday, February 19
12"+ of dense powder arrived overnight. 2nd Chair on the Vista Quad and 1st Chair on Wilderness yielded this:

I found a nice hike-to area:

The trees were ok.

It was really, really crowded at Bolton:

Bolton reported 13-15". It was more. Light, fluffy Champlain powder. It was cloudy and snowing all day and the mountain was empty. Face shots were had.

We were supposed to leave Friday night, but the "access road was extremely treacherous" and we were forced to spend an extra night slopeside at Bolton. Another foot of fluff arrived overnight. More face shots were had.

You know it's a good run when it ends like this:

everything about this TR was excellent except for that god-awful song.
