EAST BURKE, Vermont — Burke Mountain announced that it will host to the 2nd "Eye on the Sky" stargazing party with Vermont Public Radio's Mitch Wertlieb, Eye on the Sky's Mark Breen and science journalist Andy Chaikin on Monday August 14th. Stargazers should arrive by 8:30 with the live broadcast starting at 9pm.
Eye on the Night Sky is a co-production of the Fairbanks Museum and VPR, with funding provided by the Institute of Library and Museum Services and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Astronomer Andrew Chaikin is an advisor to the program; he's a former NASA scientist, former editor of Sky and Telescope Magazine and a regular science commentator on National Public Radio.
