Campagnolo Neutron Ultra Clincher Wheelset

Starting with the classic box-section rims, Campagnolo engineers applied their proven polygonal design to the shallow-profile aluminum hoops. Essentially, each 20mm rim features a welded joint for the utmost in durability, machined brake tracks for consistent braking, along with extensive milling between spoke holes to remove excess weight. Campagnolo also created the Neutrons with a front rim that is lighter than the rear and drilled for symmetrical spoke entry. The spoke drilling at the rear, by contrast, is asymmetrical, with the spokes entering the rim on the non-drive side to boost spoke tension and lateral stiffness. Speaking of spokes, the Neutrons received a generous 22 stainless straight-pull spokes at the front, and 24 at rear, which not only increases the wheels' overall durability, but also helps soak up road vibrations.
In the hub department, Campagnolo knew that the Neutrons would undoubtedly see high training and racing miles, which is why it built the wheels around its carbon-shelled, aluminum-flanged hubs.
