so, I'm going up weekend of march 14th...most likely to cannon cause I got free passes...It's just me & a friend and we dont need anything nice really at all.....my question is, whats the cheapes place to stay. I'm assuming it's Parkers? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Keep in mind I'll stay anywhere with a bed really. Are any of those tiny cabins I see around there available in the winter?

cool. I'll check it out...anyone else suggest anywhere? I wouldnt mind a tiny place with just a wood stove. Altho they all seem to have gas stoves which kinda takes the fun outof it for me.

Only place I've stayed in the area was the Cannon Mountain View. The bar was cool, but the room hadn't been renovated since the 60's. Think I paid $85

I am planning a couple days skiing the week of March 16th and I love the Lincoln area, but cannot find any deals in the area like you can in North Conway. I am probably going to end up do Wildcat and Black this year. It has probably been 18 years since I skied Wildcat(still had the clamshell gondola!) and have never been to Black.

Your cheapest in Franconia would be Hillwinds. The Cannon Mt View has a descent bar and a killer view of the Franconia Range.Good pizza also.I used to have a room for the season there many moons ago. Both are retro 60's.CMV is a step up.

Wildcat never had a 'clam shell' gondola like Mt Snow, it was a two person gondola that looked like an M&M, but you had to take your skis off and to get in or out of the fiberglass car.

I like Carlson's in Twin Mountain. A few minutes more to drive, but a nice place to stay
