I have to do that when I skin or hike above lifts too. Heck, skinning you have to take off and put back on twice before going down again

Agree but that is your choice to skin or boot pack. I do both but that isn’t the point. I would rather take a lift over a gondola or tram if the option is available.

Not a New Hampshire taxpayer but one thing that has struck me looking back on pictures of the Tram. It travels at much greater height then most gondolas (I know Ajax and Whistler have high ones). But the view is spectacular as it goes up especially for the summer tourists. I don't know I'm older and a little nostalgic but to me a tram belongs there. I rode the original and this 2nd version too, I know I'm going to miss it when I get there this winter.
