He bought the Town Lift Plaza (where the "Town Lift" Triple Chair loads in downtown Park City). In an interview with KPCW, he disclosed that he has offered to buy PCMR from Vail but his offer was declined. He also has an idea of replacing the chairlift with a gondola to Solitude and Alta. Must be he does not know about the failed Ski Link.....

The cynic in me thinks he's just floating this, "I want to buy Park City Mountain resort" thing to curry positive favor in town to help him get his mega-mansion plans approved for a delicate, historic piece overlooking downtown. Obviously he knows the one thing that unites everyone from every various political persuasion is a hatred for Vail.

The only way Vail lets go of Park City is serious financial duress, and they're not there yet. Same goes for Whistler and Stowe IMHO; those are the 3 "untouchable" Vail resort satellite properties - literally everything else would be sacrificed before it came to any of those three.

Yeah, the fact that they dropped in reference to his controversial home proposal might hint at this.
