So...why does just about every travel site ask what age group you are in but in the end there's no price difference between the age groups?

So...why does just about every travel site ask what age group you are in but in the end there's no price difference between the age groups?

Couple of reasons. First is marketing. They have your demographic info and can then send you emails and such targeted at that age group.

There are also airfare discounts based on certain age groups. Kayak was notorious until recently for returning airfare results that required you to be a student under age 29.
