ALBANY, New York -- As the warm summer months begin to "trail" off, the Capital Region will gear up for the return of the longest-running consumer snow and travel show, the 47th annual Times Union Ski & Snowboard Expo, November 7 – 9.

The expo, presented by Alpin Haus, will bring the latest and greatest in winter sports trends to the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, offering fans a sneak "peak" at the 2008 winter sports season.

The Times Union Ski & Snowboard Expo offers winter sports enthusiasts the opportunity for great early season deals on a wide array of ski and snowboard equipment, fashion and apparel, and discounts to dozens of mountains and winter vacation destinations from throughout the Northeast, Canada and western United States.

The expo will also include perennial favorites including the Ultimate Snow Package giveaway, workshops, silent auction, raffles and hourly door prizes.

The 47th annual Times Union Ski & Snowboard Expo will take place Friday, November 7 from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, November 8 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, November 9 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 8 – 12. Children age seven and under are admitted free with paid adult.

Partial proceeds from the show benefit the Double "H" - Hole in the Woods Ranch's Adaptive Ski Program for critically ill children.
