Definitely balls... Kids dont have that self preservation instinct we get with age haha

you don't fully develope your spatial awareness untill your late teens, that is why young girls excell at gymnastics and young men do crazy ass stuff- no fear !!

I would like to see some footage of the little dude making turns. I've seen a few people in chutes scrape not ski down. Photo gave me flashbacks of people sliding down chutes taking the snow with them.
I agree it takes ballz at any age to even scrape your way down and I've seen the pros scrape to that location to start the run. Got me thinking in a few years I might be able to get my 2 yr old daughter on the bunny slopes.

^ That's a thought. But, I lose style points if I just roll down. Besides, chicks dig scars.

yea chicks dig damage, but think of all the attention you'd get in the lodge with all that damage from rolling down. I could envision a lot of full body relief!!

From the FB page,

Emily Coombs: yes, David is 7, not 4, or that would be a little crazy! David was guided by the best, hans Johnstone in the front and Rick Hunt in the back. the easiest day to enter corbets of the year. david is good, but not reckless and not a daredevil. He only attempts things when he knows he has the skills and ability, thankfully.

Yeah, bones heal and glory is forever!!! Perhaps a hip check on Corbet's icy dogleg should result in a good sized bruise worth showing off.=)
Either 4 or 7, it's still very impressive. He could be 13 and dating Taylor Swift for all I care and I'd still be impressed.

Oh well, pschhh, I mean if you aren't skiing Corbet's by the time you are 7 you can hardly call yourself a skier!

I heard first hand at Billy's Burgers from someone that jump into Corbetts earlier that day. He said, "Corbetts isn't all that hard once you climb back up pick up all your gear and get your skis back on. "

Glad I saw 7. It's sort of stupid to let a 7 y/o do that but it's borderline child abuse to let a 4 y/o do that. I'm sure he's an awesome 7 y/o skier. It's not just a steep chute (it's actually really easy in this pic - usually requires 10+ ft mandatory air), it requires a turn or your hitting a solid rock wall at speed. Not like people are dying on a regular basis, but you certainly could.
