Took him a while to figure out that all he needed to do is backtrack...

I heard it was off Jauggernaut.... It's usually by Cooopers Cabin by the glades area...

i think the cardinal rule is if you are going to be skiing on a closed trail, know the area REALLY well and don't get hurt or do something stupid that would require resque or worse. skiing off into the woods and not being able to find one's way out definitely constitutes not knowing the area well and putting one's self into a situation of personal injury. though as per the trend that is quickly becoming evident with these articles on ski area accidents and resques, not enough information is provided to truly judge the character and skills of the victim and whether they were in over their heads or simply unlucky. the mere facts of the article would point to the former, imo.
