Anyone skied these? I'd like to get a set of strict carving skis and a set on the fatter side (Legend 8000s? Everyone is interested in these suddenly) to sort of bookend my Legend 4800s. The professional reviews on the Contact 11s are glowing but it would be good to hear some average Joe feedback. Damn, they are expensive!

I own 8k's, 8.8k's, and Contact 9's (the difference being the plate under the binding being composite instead of metal. I agonized over the choice between the Contact 9 and 11, and had loing talks with Dynastar about it. The Contact is an on-trail carving demon, whereas the 8K is an all mountain.

If you want to do dweeby hot carves under the liftline, the Contacts are perfect. If you want something that carves well, but not to the exclusion of anything else, then the 8k's are the ticket. Consider the 9 as well as the 11 too, as it's not a level thing, but more an East vs. West thing.
