Easy glade of Stratton?

Going to ski Stratton tomorrow with a friend. My understanding Stratton has quite a rich collection of glades of various difficulty level? Is that so?

Where are the easy glades for someone who’s a proficient skier but never been in the trees to get started on?

West Pilot off Work Road. It's pretty wide, well cut and is a bit flatter after you get through the first section.

Seconding West Pilot! One of the best entry-level glades anywhere, and still fun for advanced skiers. Emerald Forest is good, too, but very short.

Don't confuse West Pilot with Test Pilot. Test Pilot is on the other side of the mountain and has tight trees.

The nice thing about West Pilot or Emerald Forest vs. Daniel's Web or Get Stumped is that they are wider with more options to ski down. The two greens on other side of Daniel Webster can feel like a bobsled run after heavy usage.

the ones on skiers right lower downeaster are pretty mellow as well.

With the 3 feet they got yesterday, most of the easy glades are too deep.

But if they're open, the ones far skier's left are easy.

Go down the green tail straight off the gondola and the access trail to them is the first one on the left.

the ones on skiers right lower downeaster are pretty mellow as well.

They are actually best accessed by going down liftline under sunriser 6 pack lift

Supposedly West Pilot is Stratton's famous glade and it's easy as well. Top is narrow and windy but flat, bottom opens up into a wide glade that is a little steep, but with how much snow there is now it won't be challenging.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Had to change tact because there’s too much snow. West Pilot was good but a lot of it we had to straight line it or just following previous tracks. We ended up having to pick it up a notch in pitch to overcome the deep snow. Went into left of liftlime because it looked open enough AND steep enough. That was good. Then something right of one of the ‘bears’. Basically anything not too tight were fair game, the steeper the better.

Wish I had my backcountry pole with the big powder basket. Punch right through when poling
