Embrace Your Inner Ski Bum: Vermont Ski Areas Host the First Annual Ski Bum Championships
WARREN, Vermont — The Vermont Ski Areas Association (VSAA) will stage its first ever Ski Vermont Ski Bum Championships March 22, 2005 at Sugarbush Resort. Vermont ski areas will field teams of eight skiers and riders to compete for the title of the Vermont Ski Bum Champions.
VSAA will host this special event to honor the commitment from local skiers and their passion for skiing and riding in Vermont. Enthusiasm and devotion to the sport fuels Vermont's resorts and keeps visitors returning. Ski Bum races are held during the season at mountains across Vermont. Typically races occur on a mid-week day. Men and women of all ages, abilities and disciplines compete against one another with camaraderie, respect and sportsmanship.
Confucius said: "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life." In Vermont, we say find a job that allows you to ski and ride a lot and you won't worry so much about the work.
