Flying in 2025 - hand carrying boots

So I am hearing that many carriers are changing their carry on policies in '25. I always hand carry my boots when flying.
Did anyone experience any change this year?

I typically check my skies in and carry my bagpack and the boots.
I will be flying United in a few weeks from Newark NJ to Salt Lake City. I flew this route a few times and I had no problems before. In fact, No airline gave me a problem to date. Wondering if anyone is experiencing a change.

Saw American was changing the size of carryons allowed to no longer than 22” including handle and wheels.

You’ll be fine as long as it’s not Spirit or Frontier.
