I was at Loon today. I haven't skied at Loon for a decade, I think.
The parking lots at the main lodge were filled by 10:20am, and I had to divert to South Peak.

I remember the crowds were notorious on weekends at Loon, but does Loon get crowded on Fridays too?
How about mid-week?

Friday is the new Saturday and Monday is the new Sunday.

I was there today also, not sure i have ever seen an actual line for north peak before today, it was crowded but the surface held up.

Snow on Thursday.. Plus as the Big O accurately described, Friday is the new Saturday in this post Covid era where more folks are both skiing/riding and have a work from home option

Traffic on Friday driving north on 93 seemed heavier than normal. Luckily I stopped at Ragged which was great on Friday and no crowd.

I was there on Tuesday and the Governors Lodge was packed. A lot of school age kids with their parents. No lift lines. Had lunch at the Octogen Lodge which wasn't as crowded. Midweek emptiness is a thing of the past!

Yup. If all the development in Lincoln itself and at South Peak doesn't tell one that, well I don't know what will. But at this point, the amount being developed is not just for the SAT/SUN/Holiday crowd, that's for sure.
