Is this the same copper owned by the much maligned POWDR Corp. in the early season snowmaking game. FYI A-Basin and Loveland have not turned the guns on yet.

Copper is, indeed, owned by POWDR.

And they fire their snow guns up early because of the U.S. Ski Team's Speed Center, where the team does its early season high-speed training. Such a facility requires a lot more snow cover than the "white ribbon of death" (WROD) that A-Basin, Keystone, and Loveland tend to offer for opening weekend.

Copper won't open to the general public as early as the other three, unless there happens to be a plentiful amount of natural snow cover on parts of the mountain that aren't part of the Speed Center area.
