I got a 1965 Hotpoint electric range in nearly mint condition in the free section. Nice and retro, built like a tank, and fits the decor of this old place perfectly.

So far we have found:
A 1979 Chevy pickup for a project.
An intake, carb, and air cleaner for said project for $180
A kids Gator (12v motorized toy) for $50, runs like a top
Kids ice skates for free
A deli-unit for $150. This is the best find. You see them in sandwich shops, 5' long refrigerated unit with a food prep area along the front half of the top, and a flip-top lid under which you can keep your cold-cuts and fixings along the rear half. Underneath is a wide open refrigerated area, sealed off by three generously sized doors. We're currently using it as a part-time beer fridge and food storage area in the "outdoor kitchen". I'll post some pics once the snow melts and I get it unwrapped for the summer grilling season.

I purchased a couch from craigslist that was in the self storage place down the street. That, in turn led me to suggest, to the owners of the storage, that they, tell their renters about the list. Now, they get a commish for showing/selling items and I get first refusal, on a watch list of items. Too many deals to mention. No shipping and handling

Hey, those are pretty cool! Did you buy 'em? ;)

No, but was tempted. This thread is more or less an extension of my musings at consignment stores and yard sales. Craigslist is pretty much the same thing but saves time and gas. It's also tempting to repost some of the personals on there but that would be harsh. Some things are actually a good deal and some items are so crazily overpriced...

I posted this one on another thread:

Lifetime Attitash Ski Pass # 759 - $8500

That's right...a pass for your lifetime! These were issued in the '80's but never assigned a name. I recently aquired two but only need one.

This is of the most sought-after items in the New England skiing world, this ski pass enables the bearer to enjoy skiing and riding at Attitash mountain in Bartlett, NH for life!

RESTRICTIONS APPLY: The lifetime Attitash pass is valid only for the individual whose name appears on the pass certificate (currently blank and unassigned). Once the pass is redeemed at Attitash, it is non-transferable. For example, if the pass is purchased by you and then is given to a family member as a gift, the gift recipient's name must be placed on the certificate. Once he/she obtains the pass and their name is put on the pass, it is theirs for life. Refunds for this purchase are not available and the pass can never be redeemed for cash.

Email me if you have questions. Michael

I got a season pass voucher for Ski Sundown off Craiglist about two weeks ago for $275. The guy won it from one of those Warren Miller things, but he ended up with his arm in a cast so couldn't ski. Lucky for me!
