I'm considering going to Gore on Saturday. I have a free voucher from the giveaway, and I'm not sure conditions will be better than this weekend.

Is anybody else planning on being there? I've never been, and would appreciate someone to show me the layout and give me some company for a few runs.

Have fun at Gore, conditions were fantastic on Sunday, lots of snow in the woods. Hopefully they'll get a little freshen up before you go, that'd be ideal. You'd better send SKI-3PO a Christmas card this year! Have fun at Cannon too, skied it for the first time this year, I wish it wasn't socked in with fog when I went, the views on a clear day must be spectacular.

I'll be there, but I'll be teaching a "Trees & Steeps" clinic all weekend, so I won't be able to show you around. What kind of skier are you? I can throw out some recommendations...

I'd say I'm "advanced", but not quite "expert". I can get down just about any trail on the map. Though sometimes I have to pick my way down, it's always in control.

Your clinic sounds inticing. Is it just for tele?

I'm teaching the Tele one, but there's a concurrent one for alpine skiers. It's a pretty good deal: breakfast, lunch, full day of instruction, and wine & cheese party with video review afterwards. $100 if you have a pass.

Otherwise, I'd start at the bottom and work your way up as the sun softens everything: Ski Bowl to start, then Burnt Ridge, then the Main area/North Side, then the summit area (Rumor, Lies, Hawkeye, etc.). Last couple runs, I'd ski Topridge in the sun.
