Report: Yesterday I made it out to the home hill. This is the first year that I will not have done a formal season pass. This year because of the cost of the season pass, I did a flex pass ($25 up front) which cuts the price in half for daily tickets. You load up a RFID card online, and you're good to go at the gates. So it cost me $32. I figure 10 outtings will break even on the season pass or less (which is what I am good for at the G anyway per year)
Gunstock had 3 lifts running (pistol, ramrod and penny) accessing a chunk of the lower mountain. The RFID gates were kind of a pain in the ass, but for the most part worked. Seemed a big capital expense for such a small hill. Ended up lapping Tiger, Smith and lower gunsmoke. All in all a good first day back at the home hill - and man I missed seeing those lake views!
