Conditions: Sunny, Blue Bird... Pack Powder
Report: What a glorious day at Gunstock, was on the hill at 8:30 for opening bell with a line for the Panny. The day started out with frozen death cookies. Once the sun went to work, the entire mountain just sparkled. Even with the warmth of yesterday, the mountain held its snow. They were 100% open, with bumps on hotshot, Flintlock extension and red hat. When the snow softened up it was just simply amazing. Yesterday I was told, was the first time in 30 years, they had to CLOSE the mountain due to it being at capacity! They literally shut down the access road to all traffic, that said - today just was a top 10 as far as I am concerned. Happy that I got sloppy fourths from the storm on Thursday. Skied to about 2pm - 20 runs in and called it a day:
